your legs wrap around my waist like an inflatable life saver
and that's what you are
you've kept me from drowning for almost a year
and taken me to shore despite the sea pulling me down
i breathed in a lot of water
but you gave me mouth to mouth resuscitation
eventhough i didn't want it
and when the ocean wanted to push me up against rocks
you were around me holding me tight
i wouldn't be here if it weren't for you
and for this, i say thank you
